Nurturing Young Conservationists: Sustaining the River at Ban Sam Sop
A recap of the “”Check Dam Building”” learning activity via STEM Education. This special initiative was thoughtfully organized by Hope4you Thailand by Markets4you in collaboration with the Raks Thai Foundation to foster problem-solving skills and public awareness among the students at Ban Sam Sop School in Chiang Mai.
From classroom lessons to hands-on fieldwork building actual wood and stone check dams, the children realized the importance of water resources.
They learned how scientific knowledge can be applied to care for their community, which closely coexists with mountains and natural water sources.
Building a check dam today simply means building a sustainable future for the community.
